Find out what you can do to boost your pension

That's what it’s all about at this year's annual 3-day event “Pensioen3Daagse” on 7, 8 and 9 November. The Pensioen3Daagse is an initiative that was set up nation-wide to raise awareness regarding pensions, with the help of online platform ‘Money Wise’ (Wijzer in Geldzaken). Do we need that? Yes we do, given that 80% of people in the Netherlands consider other employment conditions more important than pension when starting a new job. But pension is your most expensive employment condition! If you're working five days a week, you spend about one day a week working for your pension.

How do we deal with our high funding ratio?

From 1 January 2023 to 30 September 2023, our policy funding ratio rose from 108% to 123%. This means the pension fund has more than enough cash to pay out your future pension benefits. And also for the pension benefits we are paying out already. On top of that, we have enough cash to absorb adverse conditions that might occur in the future.

Funding ratios as per September 2023 are known

ING CDC Pensioenfonds’ funding ratios as per 30 September 2023 are known. The funding ratio is 139% and the policy funding ratio is 129%.
